Mustang Connections: A Dedicated Space for Veterans and Equines in Taylor County
Introduction: Operation Horses Heal (OHH) is committed to providing rejuvenating equine-assisted learning programs for Veterans, active military personnel, and their families. This expansion project is designed to meet the growing need for connection and support within the military community, especially through equine-assisted activities. The expansion includes land acquisition, job creation for Veterans, year-round programming, increased accessibility, and the development of housing for Veterans. Additionally, OHH will generate sustainable revenue through renting space to local businesses.
The mission of Operation Horses Heal is strongly aligned with the expansion goals, which aim to:
Increase access to equine-assisted programs, especially for individuals with mobility challenges.
Offer year-round, supportive programs for Veterans and their families.
Provide work-and-live opportunities for unhoused Veterans and those seeking new skills, such as ranch work.
Employ at least 90% Veterans, supporting military families and providing long-term career opportunities.
